Hi there, I'm Aster

I am a male, black and white Domestic Shorthair (white collar). I am not declawed. ***Staff thinks I will be ready by late September. My foster family says, Aster is a very sweet little black kitten. The very tip of his tail has a dot of white, as do three small spots along his neck, chest and tummy. His top half is all black. He will happily curl up on your chest for pets, or next to you on the couch. He enjoys pouncing on play mice and climbing his scratching post. He doesn’t mind being picked up as long as chin scratches are given, but his little ears go down saying it is not his favorite, he is just so sweet that he will put up with being carried around. His favorite is to be curled up on your lap under a cozy blanket getting pets.*** I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741 you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
