I am a male, brown tiger Domestic Longhair. I am not declawed. ***Staff thinks I will be ready by early to mid-September. My foster family says Don’t let his sweet face fool you. Gerald is impish and clever. He somehow manages to be everywhere and get into everything. He likes to stretch out with his siblings and nap but, when it’s time to play, he is the one instigating the action. Adorable and fluffy, he is also a master cuddler. *** I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741 you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal.Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick.
