I am a female, seal point Domestic Shorthair (red collar). I am not declawed. ***Staff thinks I will be ready by early October. My foster family says, Lila is a sweet, quiet Siamese-mix kitten who spent a couple of weeks recovering from a leg injury in a foster home where she lived with the resident cats and two very calm dogs. Her leg seems all better now [HSPPR feel free to edit based on her next check up], and she gets around just fine, although she is a little limited in her couch jumping skills. Lila has an independent streak, and while she enjoyed playing with the resident cats, when she had enough, she would go back to her baby Yoda bed and curl up for some quiet time. She's pretty much like the cat version of an introvert: she fills her cup back up by spending lots of quality time by herself! Because she is a quiet, independent kitten, her foster thinks she will do best in a quiet home with no small children, but another cat and / or a calm dog would be great company for her.*** I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741 you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!

We do our best to update our adoptable pet listing as quickly as possible. However, there may be times when an animal is not at the shelter. Thank you for your understanding!
