Hi there, I'm Niki
I am a spayed female, tan and white Terrier mix. Niki is an adorable lap dog. A tiny 12 lb dog, she loves to be held and to cuddle next to you. As much as she likes to roam the back yard, she'd be great in an apartment. She doesn't chew and has been house-trained. Niki is a timid girl and doesn't seem much interested in playing with other dogs and she can be scared easily by people approaching too quickly. Once she gets to know you though, she's very loving and follows you around. Her legs are a little unsteady and she doesn't do well on hardwood, but seems very steady on carpet or grass. Overall, she would make a wonderful companion for someone who is looking for a small dog to love. Niki has advanced luxating patellas. This means her knee caps do not stay in the normal place along the groove. Her knee caps spend most of the time on the inside of the knee region (medial patellar luxation).Niki was able to get around without any issue. She is seen running and using stairs without any concern. Sometimes her legs would be a little shaky but otherwise she did not show significant pain.We believe in the right home Niki could do very well. She may benefit from surgery in the future. Currently we recommend Niki maintain a lean weight and receive regular low impact activity. Please contact Niki’s foster mom, Angela, at [email protected] to inquire about Niki or set up a visit. Please allow up to 24 hours for Angela to respond.
