I am a spayed female, brown tiger and white Domestic Shorthair. I am not declawed. Mama Rose has such a sweet & calm personality. Although she does have her fun, playful times & she loves toys! She would do best in a home as an only cat & may do okay with a calm dog with slow introductions. She loves to snuggle & will find her favorite spot in your lap. She’d probably do best in a home with older children. If you’re looking for an easy going, snuggle bug, she’s the one! I don't share space with other cats very well. I may do best as the only cat in the home, but I have lived with a dog before.Upon arrival to HSPPR, Mama Rose presented with a diagnosed cystoliths (bladder stones). A cystotomy (surgery of the bladder) was performed to remove the stones. The stones were submitted for testing to assess long term recommendations, and the results are available to view upon request. Mama Rose recovered well after the surgery. Bladder stones can form for various reasons. Some form in the presence of a urinary tract infection whereas others are simply genetic related. Special diets, regular monitoring of urine, and other treatments can help reduce the likelihood of recurrence. No method is 100% though and risk for stone recurrence is possible. We recommend using Hills Science diet c/d multicare. This is a prescription diet for urinary tract issues. Please discuss obtaining an ongoing prescription diet from your primary veterinarian. We recommend you consult with your primary veterinarian to discuss the prescription diet and other long term recommendations. Please contact Mama Rose’s foster mom, Laura, at [email protected] to inquire about Mama Rose or set up a visit. Please allow up to 24 hours for Laura to respond.

We do our best to update our adoptable pet listing as quickly as possible. However, there may be times when an animal is not at the shelter. Thank you for your understanding!
