Hi there, I'm Mr. Waffle

I am a male, brown tiger Domestic Longhair (navy collar). I am not declawed. ***Staff thinks I will be ready by early to mid-September. My foster family says I'm Mr. Waffle. This little guy has bewitched the whole family with his big eyes and fluffy face. He is the shyest of the litter, so, of course, everyone wants to play with him all the time. He spent the first few days with us hiding so well that we thought we had lost a kitten. He has developed stronger social skills but is still the one that runs for cover if something new or different happens. He will do well with anyone but would probably prefer a calmer environment, especially at first. *** I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741 you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal.Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
