I am a female, black and tan Rottweiler and Doberman Pinscher (red collar). ***Staff thinks I will be ready by early December. My foster family says, Trixie is a darling wild child. She has gorgeous markings. She is feisty and full of energy and will need lots of exercise. She tolerates being held for a short time but would rather be running around and playing or tugging on your shoelaces. She knows how to use the doggy door but is still working on potty training. She would definitely benefit from puppy training. Her new family should be prepared for long walks and lots of play time with her. She is vocal when she wants something. However, when she’s quiet it might be because she has found some trouble to get into. She is overall a great pup! *** I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-473-1741 you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal.Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!

We do our best to update our adoptable pet listing as quickly as possible. However, there may be times when an animal is not at the shelter. Thank you for your understanding!
